Eileen’s path began at Texas A&M Galveston, where her love for the ocean led her to a degree in marine biology. As a proud U.S. Army veteran and ACA Level 1 Certified Kayak Guide, she knew she wanted to keep serving—this time, through community and connection. So, she started a nonprofit to help women and kids find joy, strength, and freedom through fishing.

That spark became a movement.

And that movement became Dirty Shrimp Salt Crew.

What started as a passion is now a full-blown lifestyle—one built on salt air, grit, laughter, and a whole lot of heart. We’re Eileen and Britanie—partners in life and business, building Dirty Shrimp Salt Crew from grit, passion, and a shared love for the water. Eileen, a U.S. veteran and certified kayak fishing guide, leads every adventure with skill and heart. Britanie runs the business and keeps our crew connected to the people we serve. Together, we’re 100% women- and veteran-owned, offering unforgettable, hands-on fishing experiences focused on adventure, connection, and good company out on the water.

Eileen is a U.S. veteran, marine biologist, and the founder of Dirty Shrimp Salt Crew. She started the crew as a nonprofit to share the healing power of the ocean, and now leads all of our kayak fishing adventures with expert knowledge and heart.

Britanie Ironstar

Britanie is the co-owner and operations lead at Dirty Shrimp Salt Crew. She handles everything behind the scenes—from bookings to branding—so our guests can enjoy smooth, unforgettable adventures out on the water.
